I used to be that person who’d hit the gym before sunrise, no matter what. Didn’t matter if I was on night shifts or early mornings—routine was everything. Then the pandemic hit, and suddenly my only workout was hitting snooze. I tried all the hacks: earlier alarms, better hydration, strict bedtime, motivational playlists. Nothing worked. Turns out, I’m not lazy. I’m just being held hostage by my cat. Every morning, just as I’m about to get up, she morphs into a furry, purring weight and drapes herself across my chest. Sometimes she wraps her paws around my neck like a tiny, possessive scarf. I’m literally typing this with one hand because she’s got the other pinned. How am I supposed to move when she looks so peaceful? I can’t be the only one who’s become a glorified mattress for their pet. Someone send help—or at least a personal trainer who can work around a clingy cat. #PetLife #CatOwners #MorningStruggles #Pets
