Sunrise on Mt. Adams: The Hike Wasn’t the Hard Part

I thought chasing sunrises meant chasing clarity. But standing on Mt. Adams at 5:30AM, sweat freezing on my back, I realized I’d brought all my confusion up with me. The sky turned pink, and everyone around me pulled out their phones, but I just stood there, shivering, wondering why the view felt so far away from anything I actually needed. Nobody tells you that sometimes the summit is just cold, and the only thing waiting for you is yourself—tired, uncertain, hoping the light will make sense of it all. It didn’t. But at least I stopped pretending it would. #Travel #SoloTravelTruth #MountainsAndMoods
