Just walk by. You paid, it’s your personal property, they have no right to search. I tell them “I’ll wait while you call the police if you think I’ve stolen something “. My wife doesn’t think it’s as much fun as I do.🤣

store can require security checks when leaving and failing to abide by them can lead to you being arrested, even if you DIDN'T steal anything. Just because you paid for some things doesn't mean shit.

Besides our groceries, I purchase a 18 pound bag of dog food . I place the dog food on the bottom of the cart . I tell the cashier I have a bag of dog food on the bottom of the cart . She rings it up . When I leave the store the person at the door asks to see my receipt. I gave her5 weeks of Walmart receipts . She just gave me a cold icy stare and handed them back to me without looking .

I just go ahead and show it, it doesn't infringe on my rights, and it certainly doesn't make me feel abused. there's a lot of other problems with the United States that citizens to be active about 😁😆

When they ask to see my receipt I like to tell them no thank you, I’m not staying for the Drawing, and I just keep walking. That way they at least get to have a chuckle

a few times when asked to show the receipt I just hand it to the person and keep walking I don't need it for anything after I exit.

That’s a great line, “I’ll wait while you call the police if you think I’ve stolen something.”

I smile and tell them when it becomes a law then you may search until then no. They watch me walk from the
check stand and I'm quite sure the cashier is not going to let me have anything for free....🤦♀️

They ask to search. You can refuse because they can ONLY search if you were seen stealing by security camera or security shoppers. That's why they ask. I NEVER show them my receipt because I don't steal. I say "No" and keep walking. Being law abiding has nothing to do with it. It's about exercising rights as an individual and citizen of this country. They can only detain you/search if you give permission or were seen stealing-and if you stole, they can only approach after you leave.
