Deborah Black+Followgot paid, then got laid off...I was feeling good after payday… then my manager scheduled a “quick chat” and boom—I’m part of the 30% getting laid off. Just like that. Two weeks’ severance, no room for discussion (yet?). Even found out a colleague who’s pregnant was also let go. Now I’m scrambling to figure out next steps—what to do with insurance, 401k, etc. Anyone been through this before? Is it even possible to negotiate severance in this kind of situation?
