When Support Isn’t Enough: Navigating Our Daughter’s Coming Out Journey

Our daughter recently came out to us as gay, and we responded with open arms and loving support. To our surprise, she seemed even more upset and resentful, despite our acceptance. We’re left feeling confused and a little hurt—aren’t parents supposed to be supportive? I keep replaying the moment in my mind, wondering if we missed something or if our reaction somehow fell short.
