fvou or someone you know is taking any blood pressure (BP) medications or any medications that can affect vour BP you must learn how to take your BP at home or have someone taking & keeping an eye on your numbers. Take the BP shortlv before taking the medication and if possible, about 1 to 2hrs after. Keep a chart of date, time, BP numbers & heart rate. Take this with you the next time you go see the prescribing Provider. They will use that record to determine whether you are taking too much or too little of your medication(s) i.e. they will evaluate the effectiveness. You & your Provider will then determine which BP & HR #s thev'll like for you to have. A spot visit in your Dr's office doesn't tell vour Provider the whole story The goal of managing your BP is to prevent a stroke or sudden cardiac arrest. OPINION Opinion: An ancient disease is making a comeback, By Mark Green,William Steiger, Since its launch in 2005, the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative has been one of the most effective programs the U.S. government runs overseas. Working alongside partners like the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, it has helped cut death rates from malaria in supported countries by nearly half. These efforts have prevented more than 2 billion cases of malaria and saved 14 million lives — most of them children. In doing so, it stands as a clear demonstration of American leadership and reinforces the United States’ reputation as a reliable partner committed to saving lives and strengthening global health security. But data shows progress is slowing in some parts of the world because the disease itself is evolving. Mosquitoes are adapting to the tools we have used for decades, and the drugs and insecticides that once worked are losing their edge. Malaria is now the leading killer of children in many African countries. A renewed emphasis on fighting malaria should be central to the Trump administration’s America First Global Health Strategy. When infectious diseases come roaring back, they don’t just stay “over there.” They threaten our economic and national security here in the U.S. The president’s strategy promises a disciplined approach to global health aid, rightly prioritizing areas where the U.S. holds a distinct advantage — particularly through American innovation — rather than attempting to do everything everywhere. Malaria is well-suited to this vision. Breakthrough technologies developed and manufactured in the U.S. have the potential to reduce the transmission of malaria sharply if deployed at scale. New spatial repellents from SC Johnson, for example, can protect families without requiring constant compliance.

Waylan is a new Ambassador and is starting the summer season free from his port! Last year, he and his family faced a scary diagnosis that led to a long journey of surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy, scans, pokes, and many sleepless nights. After his craniotomy, Waylan worked hard to regain his strength. Through his determination and effort, he is sure to achieve all of his dreams. Now, 14 months into his fight with brain cancer, Waylan is ready to look forward to brighter days and to never take a single day for granted. This 8-year-old is a baseball player, mountain biker, and even a little sushi chef. His family says he inspires everyone around him. With his courage and kind heart, he brings light to every room. We are proud to support him on his journey and to have him join the Ambassador program as we continue the fight for a cure. "It is important to our family to be ambassadors so we can become a support system for someone else. We want other families going through cancer to know they are loved and never alone. After watching our son battle cancer, it has become our passion to advocate for childhood cancer, support research, and raise funds for a cure. We could not have gotten through Waylan’s fight without the amazing people around us, and we want to do the same for others. Prayer for Waylan 🫶 Reposter_
