I’ve never bought health insurance, and here’s why: A few years ago, I bought insurance for my son. When he broke his arm, the hospital bill came out to thousands of dollars—and that was just for a simple procedure! After that, I started to rethink the whole insurance thing. I realized that when I told the hospital I didn’t have insurance, my bills were way lower. They stopped charging me for random services and fees that usually get tacked on when you’re insured. Honestly, I think most people don’t really understand what insurance is actually giving them. It’s all a tangled mess between hospitals and insurance companies, and the only ones winning are the ones pocketing the money—not the patients. The system often pushes you to rack up huge bills, and most of it ends up in the hands of the insurance companies and hospitals. So, no insurance for me. I’d rather save my money and deal directly with the costs when they come up. It just makes more sense. #HealthCare#InsuranceTruth
