Skaters often ask me on how to go down ramps. The most common mistakes are being stiff, looking down at your feet, going wide, and not bending their knees. The basic principle is to keep your knees slightly bent. Your weight should be centered over your skates. Lean slightly forward and keep your hips down to improve control while skating down ramps. Always start with smaller ramps and gradually work your way up as you gain confidence and skill. Skating with a group or under the supervision of an experienced skater can also help you progress safely. Remember to wear a helmet. And safety pads when you learn how to roll down ramps.
