Can I Own A Bird That’s NOT A Parrot? Help! 🐦

Hey fellow bird lovers! So, I’ve always been into animals and recently, I’ve fallen down the bird rabbit hole. I’ve got my eye on owning a pigeon someday, but I’m wondering—what other non-parrot birds can make good pets? I’ve done a ton of research, and it seems like everything points back to parrots, which I’m not quite ready for yet. I’m all for some variety! Besides pigeons and doves, what are my options?
