is public education slowly disappearing?

Watching the gradual shift away from traditional public schools is concerning. New Orleans has just one public school left after Katrina, with everything else converted to charters. I wonder if states like Mississippi might completely abandon public education within 20 years. What does this mean for equal access to learning? #PublicSchools #EducationalEquity
