My landlord won't renew our lease😩

After 2 years of spotless living, our landlord suddenly refuses to renew our lease, despite us now having full-time jobs and offering to pay more. Feels like there's an ulterior motive, and they won't even explain why. Moving last minute is a nightmare! #TenantRights #LandlordIssues #MovingStress

Take his lease renewal denial as a blessing. Remember, your plan is not THE plan. People & things sometimes must be removed from your life in order to allow you to receive better people & things on your life.

Conveniently, some parts of the story seem to be missing. Did you have trouble paying the rent for two years and the landlord got fed up with you? Because you make it sound like you are every landlord's dream tenant otherwise and he'd be certifiably insane not to keep leasing to you. It just doesn't add up

They aren’t required to. Maybe they want to sell it. Maybe they want to move into it. Maybe they want to move a family member in. Their reasoning isn’t really any of your business. It’s THEIR property. If you want to stay in one place forever BUY instead of renting.

Really?
Sometimes your living might not actually be so. Sometimes a landlord may want to let a family member or friend have your place. Sometimes your landlord simply may not like you I can never understand why everyone thinks it’s just fine for a tenant to leave at the end of the lease but it is somehow criminal for a landlord to choose not to renew a lease

Landlords don't have to give a reason when a lease is up. A lease is a contract, when up, it's up! They can do whatever they want when lease is up, it's THEIR property. Go buy your own and stop whining about yet something else!!

There's probably more to the story but the landlord is not required to renew your lease and not required to provide an explanation.

Well, your landlord doesn't have to renew your lease nor is s/he required to do so. They could be choosing to not renew for lots of reasons and they may not even pertain to you. By demanding an explanation from someone who doesn't owe you one makes you a petulent and entitled child throwing a temper tantrum. Be an adult. Accept the non-renewal and leave the place better than when you got it.

Something is missing from this story. Like, we're you loud, threw parties, neighbor complaints, frequent "clients" in and out at all hours, smoking, pets not allowed, breaking the terms....?

Landlords do not have to explain reason for non renewal. In one place I lived owner didn't renew anyone's lease. Turns out he wanted to redo all the units and make them condos. One guy took owner to court and judge told guy he was free to purchase his unit and live elsewhere until building was done.
