When a Neighbor's Kid Wants to Hang Out

Do you have children his age that he could play with ? If not, why would he be asking to come in your house to play ? Perhaps none of his regular playmates were available at that time. Unless you know his parents well and they are aware of him coming inside your house, I would politely tell the child that you are currently busy and then gently send him away.On another day, perhaps you could discuss this with his parents and find out how they would like you to respond to their son if he asks to come inside your house again to play.Possibly he could be allowed to occasionally visit, if you aren't too busy, then he could watch TV or quietly play with some toys he brought with him. However, I would be careful that his visits don't become a nuisance to you, nor do you want to end up becoming a babysitter for this child. Good luck.😆

Did he want to play with your kid? Or do you have kids ? I think you are solid ground wanting his parents to know if he was with you

never let a child in your home unless the parent is with them. you don't want to be accused of something that didn't happen.

Oh heck no! You can't allow a child into your home these days without consent of the parent. Why would the kid think you had toys? I sure hope the parent(s) didn't just try to push their kid onto a neighbor!
