Friendship that hurts: When apologies don’t make up for harm

When I was a teenager, the new environment and school life were hard for me due to family reasons. I was introverted and a little overweight, which made me more shy. I always wore loose clothes to cover my body. Later, a girl took the initiative to ask me to be friends, which made me very happy. But soon, she started to swear at me and apologized later. This vicious cycle damaged my physical and mental health. However, she was my only friend in school and I was afraid that I would lose her if I stood up for myself. After graduating from high school, we went to different places and I started a new life. But recently she started contacting me again 😢 I don’t know how to deal with it Have you ever experienced such a friendship where even an apology can’t make up for the past hurt? How did you deal with it? #TeenageFriendship #SelfEsteem #ToxicFriendships
