Rare Orcas Spotted Where?!

Only 73 southern resident killer whales are left, so seeing a whole pod off the Oregon coast is wild! They usually stick to northern waters, but with Chinook salmon getting scarce, these orcas might be following the fish south—right after a huge dam removal opened up new salmon habitat. It’s proof that when we fix rivers, nature bounces back (and brings the whales with it).
