he wants me to ditch my rescue dog after moving in?!

My boyfriend and I have been together 8 months and now he’s suddenly saying he “hates” my dog and can’t be happy living with us. My sweet boy isn’t aggressive, just does normal dog stuff like chewing socks if we’re messy. I told him flat-out I’m not giving up my dog, but now I’m stuck wondering... is there any real fix here besides breaking up? #doglover #relationshipproblems #advicewanted
