Feeling panic in the terrible job market?​

I started applying for jobs the very next day after the election. I had anticipated some of the things that would happen come January. I did all the things you're supposed to do—polished my resume, networked like crazy. But all I got were six interview opportunities, and not a single job offer. 😫 Elmo assured me that there must be efficient jobs in the private sector to replace my so - called inefficient government job. But I just can't see them. I'm starting to go nuts! 😣 Am I the only one in this situation?
