Teach your kids how to swim

Please, for the sake of everything you love — teach your kids how to swim. Please. I’m living proof of what happens when you don’t. I lost my beautiful, sweet daughter because I failed to prepare her. No one else is to blame. Not the water. Not fate. Me. And there’s no way to undo it. Keeping kids away from water isn’t enough. I learned that in the most devastating way imaginable. Now, I live every single day without her smile, her laugh, her hugs. Her birthday, the anniversary of her death... they come and go, and every time it feels like I can't breathe. A part of me is gone forever. Please — don’t wait. Don’t think it won’t happen to you.
