Day 1: Letting Go of Weed for a Clearer Mind and Spirit

Today marks a new chapter for meβ€”I'm officially quitting weed. After spending the last four months free from Facebook and TikTok, I realized how much lighter and calmer I felt. My anxiety dropped, and I stopped feeling the need to impress strangers online. Now, I want to keep building on that progress by letting go of habits that hold me back. I've been smoking daily for almost nine years, and it's taken a toll on my mind, my wallet, and my growth. I don't know exactly what changes are ahead, but I'm hopeful. This is my day 1 accountability post. If you've been through something similar or have advice, I’d love to hear your thoughts below! #SpiritualGrowth #MindfulLiving #LettingGo #HealingJourney #Spirituality

Almost 2 months for me free of cannabis. The first week is the hardest. I had to quit due to my career. They randomly gave me a test one day and I failed. They gave me a second chance, however I had to take a 30 day leave of absence no pay and complete 4 sessions of counseling. I'm thankful I had a second chance, I enjoy my job. I do miss my cannabis, however I value my career more.

πŸ€”..what did everyone replace cannabis? Chewing nails...straws? Alcohol, food? πŸ₯‘πŸ² Maybe exercise...Humans are creature of habit, we all need "something". Send any weed my way before trashing please and thank you XoXoX πŸ™πŸ˜†πŸ’•

Getting closer to God means sacrifice, I've smoked since I was 12 and it has been better than Xanax but in order to have that deep connection with myself and God I have to put it down. it's worth it..πŸŒΈπŸ™

I don't want a clear mind when I smoke..that's why I smoke..and clarity returns as soon as I wake up or come down..doesn't affect my ability to function when I'm not high

I quit after over 25 yrs and I am more calm and my thinking is much clearer. I used to have one hell of a temper and now I can barely get angry. I personally am much better off sober than I was smoking.

Good luck! I gotta admit that I love weed, but I hate being addicted to the stuff. There's a line in the AA Big Book that says alcoholics without booze are restless, irritable, and discontented. That's me in spades after a day or so without weed. I literally turn into a raging emotional mess that swings between towering rages and crying jags. Quitting is no joke, so again, I wish you luck.
