First it’s a fish sandwich. Second it has always been a half of a slice of cheese on the fish sandwich. In the 80‘s I worked at McDonalds in high school and it was a half a slice then too.

I worked at McDonald's for 3 years and it is policy for them to only serve half a slice of cheese with the fillet o fish sandwich. On my training day I actually remember putting a whole slice of cheese on one and the manager said "No, take it off, fold it in half, split it and only use half." humm my fish sandwich always has a whole slice of cheese on it. I know because I try to take it off because I don't like cheese. I didn't know that if you don't want something on you can ask to leave it off. I live in southwest Florida. I also scraped the the sauce to! someone just told me you can ask them to make your fish to order the way you want it! I just didn't know that!

when I worked for Papa Johns they would tells us to use less topping all the time like a broken record managers are being forced to save money anyway possible 🙄😩😭

I love those fish sandwiches from McDonald's I don't care where the cheese is but I really love this when they come out with that double fish sandwich when they have the overstock. I guess now probably never get a double fish🤔 Keep hope alive!
