Helping My 54-Year-Old Dad Save for Retirement​

My dad’s 54 and still driving for Uber full-time. He worked hard to pay for my brother’s and my college tuition, but now he has almost no retirement savings or investments. I’m worried he’ll end up working forever. Would it make sense to encourage him to open a Roth IRA and start investing in the S&P 500? I know time isn’t on his side, but every little bit could help. I just don’t want him to feel stuck working into his 70s. Any advice on how to get him started?
