Amazon’s 'Keep It' Refunds: What’s the Catch?

Amazon has always been good to me!!! Of course, I read reviews and do my best to make sure I’m not buying a fake item or something that is a scam!! I’ve never had to return anything, Amazon has always had my back if I didn’t like something I ordered

Happened to me with a $400 grill like 8ish years ago. The original grill came with two of the same legs so it couldn’t be assembled. Now I have a bunch of spare parts for when I need them

yep bought jeans for my son they told me keep them cause they were marked down and they refunded me anyway.

I bought 32 lbs.dry cat food and 20 lbs.dry dog food that never made it.They told me to keep it. but I never got it. So someone between Amazon and my P.O. stole the food, and they got to keep it. Tracking showed it at the P.O. and said it was there out for delivery, then P.O. said it wasn't there they had only scanned the manifest when they said it was there, but when they physically checked, it wasn't. They'll deliver it when it shows up it's been 4 yrs.

Back in December I ordered two rugs from Amazon and I returned them to Amazon they received their rugs back and in December and gave me credit on a so call gift card which I know nothing about in January then I ask in good faith to credit my Amazon card I was told several different occasions they would give me credit to my Amazon card here it it May Amazon have their rugs and still want me to pay for something which they have so can someone please make sense of this I am 73 years old and I feel like they trying to rip me off

I've had that happen. Got sent the wrong item called Amazon & told me I could keep the item & got a refund to.

They do it for those foam mattresses. Easy way to grab a free one

I've had a couple of things like this. They were both under $20, and the cost to return would have been nearly that.
