But I’ve learned a few simple tricks that make a HUGE difference! ❤️ Here’s what works for me: • I LISTEN—like, really listen. No distractions, no jumping in. Just nodding, making eye contact, and saying stuff like, “I hear you.” • I mirror their mood. If they’re sad, I’m gentle. If they’re excited, I get pumped too! • I ask, “How did that make you feel?” or “What do you think about that?”—it helps them open up more. • I repeat back what I heard. It feels awkward at first, but it shows I’m paying attention. 🙈 • I NEVER rush to fix things or give advice unless they ask. Sometimes, people just want to vent! • I remind myself: I don’t have to agree with their feelings—I just have to acknowledge them. Trust me, it’s not about being perfect. It’s about being present.
