Sibling Won’t Stop Talking? Here’s My Fix!

Ever had your sibling talk NONSTOP and ruin your chill time? 🙈 Yeah, me too. Here’s how I deal (without losing my mind): • I assert myself! If ignoring doesn’t work, I let them know—firmly but calmly—that I need some quiet. I remind myself I deserve respect at home. • Distraction is my best friend. I’ll pop on headphones, run an errand, or just leave the room. Sometimes, out of sight = out of mind! 😅 • Ignoring works wonders. If they’re just teasing for attention, I try not to react. No fuel for their fire! • Humor helps! If they tease my shirt, I’ll joke, “Guess I just love ugly clothes!” It throws them off and keeps things light. • When it gets too much, I talk it out. I use “I” statements like, “I feel stressed when you talk over me.” • If all else fails, I walk away.
