O Jesus,
Maker of the deep,
the One who told Leviathan where to swim
and taught the dolphin joy—
You hear the sounds no man deciphers.
You know the sorrow of the captive sea.
We lift before You these two orcas and this dolphin,
abandoned, unseen, unheard by many—
but not by You.
Stretch forth Your hand, O Lord of creation.
Send deliverance by compassion’s tide.
Whisper into the hearts of those with power:
“This is not yours to cage.”
Let their cries disturb comfort.
Let their sorrow rise in the dreams of those with keys.
Let mercy move through unseen channels
and open a gate.
If they cannot return to the wild,
then let a haven rise—
where water runs pure,
and the air carries no echo of captivity.
Jesus, be the Shepherd of the sea.
Lead them out by Your unseen hand.
And let this prayer be a current of freedom
for all Your creatures still waiting behind bars.
The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.
—Psalm 24:1 (KJV)
Let it be remembered.
Let it be written on the waters.
Let it be done in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
