I understand how they feel, but I also need your advice 😬

I’m the new team lead at our Dallas branch—youngest in the room, and apparently, public enemy number one. I barely had time to unpack my desk before whispers started. Some teammates avoid me, others openly question why I’m here. I can’t blame them—I skipped the line, and now I’m paying for it. Leadership acts like everything’s fine, but the tension is thick enough to cut with a knife. Honestly, I’m lost. I want to do a good job, but I have no idea how to win these folks over or fix the communication mess. Has anyone else survived something like this?
