Boost Your Reading Skills—Make It Fun!

Ever get lost in a book... and realize you have no clue what you just read? 🙈 Been there! But I’ve found some easy ways to actually enjoy reading AND remember what I read. Here’s what’s worked for me: • I pick a quiet spot—no TV, no phone buzzing. Total game changer! • If I’m stuck, I ask a friend or teacher to read with me. Talking it out helps a ton. • Reading aloud (even to myself) slows me down and helps things stick. Bonus: audiobooks are awesome too! • I keep a notebook handy. Jotting down quick notes or questions makes the story way more interesting. • I start with books at my level, then level up as I get more confident. No shame in that! • If I hit a tricky word, I look it up right away. My vocab’s grown so much this way. 😅 • Sometimes I reread chapters if I zone out. It’s normal!
