how did my tiny 13th floor balcony turn into a veggie jungle?

My balcony used to be just a spot for drying laundry. Now, it’s a full-on veggie jungle! I started with a couple of pots, thinking maybe I’d get a few herbs. But then I realized, if you give plants enough sunlight and water, they go wild—even 13 floors up. I mix my own soil with kitchen scraps and coffee grounds. It makes the tomatoes super sweet. Sometimes I forget to water, but the trick is to group the pots close together so they help each other stay moist. Watching tiny seeds turn into salad is the best part of my day.
