When I was 17, my dad insisted on teaching me to drive. Every lesson ended in tears—he’d yell, curse, and accuse me of not trying. I’d show up to campus with mascara streaks, shaken and dreading the next drive. Years later, I still freeze up behind the wheel, even with my grandpa or boyfriend. I want to overcome this fear, so I’m taking baby steps: practicing in empty lots, using calming music, and reminding myself it’s okay to make mistakes. Has anyone else struggled with this?
