Did you know that 1 in 4 American Jewish adults check astrology or horoscopes at least once or twice a year? A new Pew survey found that 18% of Jews believe in astrology, compared to 27% of the general U.S. population. While astrology isn’t a core part of Jewish tradition, it’s popping up more in Jewish spaces—like At the Well’s Zodiac-inspired wellness work and J. newspaper’s “Astrolojew” column. The survey also found that 11% of Jews use tarot cards, and 4% visit fortune tellers occasionally. Most people say it’s just for fun (19%), while 8% look for helpful insights. Only 5% said they rely on these practices even a little for big decisions, and no one said they rely on them a lot. Are you into astrology, tarot, or just reading for fun?
