TRAPPIST-1: Water Worlds Out There?

TRAPPIST-1’s planets just got way more interesting! New data from the James Webb Space Telescope suggests some of these distant worlds could be absolutely loaded with water—even more than Earth in some cases. Scientists used to think TRAPPIST-1 c was a Venus twin, but it might actually have water vapor and oxygen, possibly from volcanic activity. Some planets could even be ocean-covered, while others are more Mars-like.
