Did Anyone Else Learn the Egg-Lips Test from Their Parents?!

There’s this old-school trick my parents swore by: holding an egg up to your lips to check if it’s still good. Supposedly, if the egg feels warm against your lips, it’s fresh; if it stays cold, it’s gone bad. My folks picked it up from their parents, who probably heard it in the 50s or 70s. But I’ve never seen anything about this on Google or in any food safety guide—just the classic float test.
