do you really clean your suitcase wheels every trip?

After every trip, I find myself staring at the wheels of my suitcase, wondering what kind of germs and grime they’ve picked up. We just got back from visiting our daughter in Chicago, and let me tell you, those airport floors are not exactly sparkling. I spent a good 10 minutes scrubbing the wheels with damp rags before I even let the suitcase near our living room carpet. My husband rolled his eyes and said I was being dramatic, but honestly, have you ever looked at the gunk that comes off those things? I use two rags just for my carry-on, and another for the checked bag. Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only one who goes to this much trouble. Is this just me being overly cautious, or do you all do this too? Or do you just roll your bags right in and hope for the best? I can’t be the only one who cringes at the thought of airport dirt on the rug. How do you handle this?
