Why Won’t My Pets Give Me Space?!

Does anyone else have pets that act like your personal shadows? I swear, my dog and cat have formed some kind of clingy alliance. Bathroom break? There they are, staring at me like I’m about to disappear forever. Working from home? Forget about it—my keyboard is just another napping spot. At first, I thought it was cute. Now, I’m starting to wonder if I should charge them rent. Is this normal? Do pets just pick a human and decide, “Yep, you’re my entire world now”? I love the attention (most days), but sometimes I just want to walk across the room without tripping over a tail or getting a headbutt to the knee. Anyone else living with a furry entourage?
