My heart flew away with retirement 😅

Today, I finally told my boss my retirement date—18 months from now. I thought I’d feel relief, but instead, I’m stuck battling the infamous short-timers disease. Every email feels less urgent, and my mind keeps wandering to the old lakeside cottage I just bought. I should be working, but all I want to do is plan out how I’ll remodel the bathroom! It’s strange—everyone says to retire TO something, not just FROM work. I’m excited for my next chapter, but right now, I’m struggling to stay present.
