why do homegrown cherry tomatoes taste like summer magic?

Last year, I decided to try growing cherry tomatoes on my tiny balcony. I had no clue what I was doing, but I just wanted that fresh, sun-warmed taste. I started with a couple of seedlings, watered them every morning, and made sure they got plenty of sunlight. The first time I saw those little green tomatoes turning red, I got way too excited. The best part? Picking them straight off the vine and popping them in my mouth. They’re so much sweeter than anything from the store. I learned that keeping the soil moist (but not soggy) and pinching off the lower leaves helps the plant focus on making more fruit.
