hiking darband in tehran: worth the climb or just hype?

Last week, I finally made it to Darband in Tehran after hearing so much about its mountain trails and cozy tea houses. We started our hike early in the morning, thinking we’d beat the crowds, but apparently, everyone else had the same idea! The path was packed with locals and tourists, and I kept tripping over uneven stones while trying to dodge selfie sticks. The scenery was beautiful, with fresh mountain air and little streams, but I couldn’t help but wonder if it was really worth all the effort. By the time we reached a tea house, my knees were aching, and the only thing I wanted was a strong cup of tea and a soft chair. I have to admit, the kebabs smelled amazing, but the prices seemed to have doubled since the last time a friend visited. Maybe it’s just me, but I expected a more peaceful escape from the city, not a crowded tourist trap. Has anyone else felt this way about popular hiking spots? Sometimes I think the hype sets us up for disappointment, especially when you’re looking for a quiet moment in nature and end up in a line for tea. I’d love to hear if you’ve found any hidden gems that actually live up to their reputation. #travelstories #tehran #darband #Travel
