splurged on a fancy patagonia hotel, was it worth it?

We finally decided to treat ourselves and booked a pricey hotel in Patagonia. The photos online looked amazing—huge windows with mountain views, cozy fireplaces, and gourmet food. We thought, why not go all out for once? But when we got there, things weren’t quite as perfect as the website promised. The view was nice, but our room was smaller than expected, and the food was just okay. We even spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to work the fancy shower, only to end up with lukewarm water. I couldn’t help but wonder if we should’ve just stayed at a simpler place and spent the extra money on local tours or food. Has anyone else felt a bit let down after splurging on a big trip?
