climbing 10 peaks in tokyo left me questioning my sanity

We set out before sunrise, thinking we’d just tackle a couple of the smaller peaks near Tokyo. But you know how it goes—one summit leads to another, and before we knew it, we’d bagged 10 peaks in a single day. Thirteen hours of hiking! My knees are still complaining, and don’t even get me started on my back. The views were stunning, though—misty forests, the city skyline peeking through the trees, and even a shy deer or two. But honestly, by the eighth peak, I started wondering if we were being ambitious or just plain stubborn. I kept thinking about those folks who say hiking is relaxing. Is it just me, or does anyone else find themselves grumbling halfway up the mountain, questioning their life choices? And how do you keep your energy up for such a long trek? I tried snacking on trail mix, but after the fifth handful, I never want to see another raisin again. I love the sense of accomplishment, but wow, my body feels every step today. Anyone else ever bite off more than they can chew on a hike? #hikingadventures #tokyopeaks #midlifehiking #Travel
