Is It Strange to Find Peace in Having Less?

I am dirt poor. I barely make enough to cover my living expenses, and I share a place with several roommates. But honestly, I just don’t care. I’m more than content coming home to play video games or watch Netflix. After years of trying to land a better job, I’ve accepted that wealth just isn’t in the cards for me. Oddly enough, I’m okay with that. Most people might not understand, but I find a weird sense of peace in it. Does anyone else feel the same way?
