My Cat Thinks Showers Are Personal Attacks

So, I recently brought home a tiny, fluffy overlord who’s apparently convinced that my daily showers are a threat to our household stability. Every time I turn on the water, she sits outside the bathroom door and yowls like I’m being abducted by aliens. I’ve tried talking to her through the door, singing, even opening it mid-shampoo (bad idea—wet paws everywhere). I did some googling and it turns out some cats get anxious when their humans disappear behind closed doors, especially if they’re new to the home. Maybe she thinks I’m drowning? Or she’s just mad I’m not giving her attention for 10 minutes. Either way, my bathroom routine now includes a tiny, dramatic soundtrack.
