Last night, in our tiny apartment, I was crying to my boyfriend about how stressed I felt about our finances. Instead of comforting me, he told me to stop talking. When I tried to explain myself, he snapped—he screamed, punched my arm, and shook me. Then he stormed out, only to come back and blame me for making him angry because I "wouldn't be quiet."
