chasing the world’s best chocolate: where should i go next?

Last summer, I finally made it to Europe, and let me tell you, the chocolate there ruined me for life. I thought I knew what good chocolate tasted like—turns out, I had no idea. I spent half an hour wandering the cobblestone streets of Brussels just to find this tiny chocolate shop everyone raved about, and when I finally bit into their pralines, I swear I almost cried. Now, every time I pick up a chocolate bar back home, it just tastes flat and overly sweet. Why can’t we get that same rich, creamy flavor here? It’s honestly a little maddening. Now I find myself daydreaming about planning trips just to hunt down the best chocolate. My friends think I’m nuts for wanting to fly across the ocean for a snack, but honestly, life’s too short for bad chocolate. Has anyone else traveled somewhere that completely changed their mind about what chocolate could be? I’m torn between Switzerland, Belgium again, or maybe even somewhere unexpected like Mexico or Japan. I want that wow moment again—the kind where you wonder if you’ll ever be satisfied with anything else. Is it just me, or does chocolate taste way better when you’re somewhere new, surrounded by different sights and smells? I’m starting to think I’ll never be able to go back to the stuff at the grocery store without feeling a little cheated. #chocolatejourney #foodietravel #europeanchocolate #Travel
