Adopting My First Cat: Am I Ready for Chaos?

So, I’ve officially signed up to become a cat parent this weekend. I pick up my new feline overlord on Sunday, and honestly, I’m equal parts excited and terrified. I’ve spent the last week panic-Googling things like “do cats judge you for your playlist” and “how to apologize to a cat if you mess up.” My apartment is now a minefield of cat toys, scratching posts, and enough treats to feed a small lion. I keep asking myself: am I ready for the 3am zoomies? The mysterious staring contests? The existential dread when she ignores me for hours? But hey, maybe she’ll like me. Or at least tolerate me.
