When Your Dog Befriends the New Bunny

Honestly, I was fully prepared for chaos when I brought home a tiny, trembling bunny two days ago. My dog, Max, has always been the king of the house (and, let’s be real, a bit of a diva). I expected at least a week of dramatic side-eye and passive-aggressive sighs. Instead, Max surprised me. Last night, I caught him gently nudging the bunny’s lettuce closer and then flopping down beside her like he’s been her bodyguard forever. I’m not crying, you’re crying. Watching them nap together today, I realized how much animals can teach us about acceptance. If my drama king dog can welcome a fluffy stranger into his kingdom, maybe there’s hope for the rest of us. Anyway, I’m off to buy more lettuce and probably a bigger bed.
