My Cat Tried to Eat My Bouquet. Typical.

So I brought home a gorgeous bouquet of roses, thinking I’d add a touch of class to my apartment. Enter: Mochi, my cat, who has never met a plant he didn’t want to chew. He sniffed the roses like he was auditioning for a perfume commercial, then immediately tried to bite off a petal. Cue frantic Googling: are roses toxic to cats? (They’re not, but the leaves can be, so now I’m paranoid.) I moved the flowers to the highest shelf. Mochi stared at them like I’d just stolen his dreams. Honestly, I thought I was getting a pet, not a tiny, furry food critic. Lesson learned: if it smells nice, it’s probably going in his mouth.
