Ever feel like your family just doesn't get you? 🙈 Trust me, you're NOT alone. I've been there, and it can be so overwhelming. Here’s what I’ve learned about why we might feel this way—and how to cope: • Different values? Yeah, that can make you feel like an outsider. • Emotional abuse or neglect? It hurts, and it’s NOT your fault. • Toxic behaviors? Gossip, criticism, or guilt trips—ugh, no thanks! • No boundaries? That’s a recipe for resentment. So, what can we do? • I name my feelings instead of bottling them up. It helps, seriously! • I lean on friends who get it. Venting = instant relief 😅 • I set boundaries (and actually stick to them). • I focus on self-care—music, walks, whatever lifts my mood. • When it’s too much, I talk to a therapist. No shame in that!
