Just the wrong place, the wrong time? The wrong thing happened? 🤔

I never thought being promoted would feel like a punishment, but here I am. Just a few months ago, I was moved to lead a new team at our Jersey office. I’m only 27, and suddenly, everyone’s looking at me like I don’t belong. Some even whisper that I only got the job because no one else wanted it. Honestly, I feel lost. The team barely listens, and when I try to communicate, it’s like talking to a wall. I know I’m young, but does that mean I don’t deserve respect? I keep wondering if I’m the problem, or if this was just the worst timing for a promotion. Has anyone else been thrown into leadership before they were ready?
