My Cat Thinks He's My Therapist

So my cat has this weird sixth sense for when I’m having a meltdown. I’ll be mid-spiral, ugly crying over something like dropping my last dumpling, and suddenly, he’s there. Not with comfort—oh no—but with the world’s most judgmental stare, as if to say, “You good? Because you look like a disaster.” Then he’ll flop dramatically across my keyboard, deleting half my frantic messages, and purr so loudly it drowns out my existential dread. I’m convinced he thinks he’s my emotional support animal, but really, he’s just here for the snacks and the drama. Still, I can’t deny that every time he sits on my chest and refuses to move, my problems feel a little smaller. Or maybe I just can’t breathe.
