why did a flock of birds crash my cherry harvest party?

This morning, I was pumped to check on my cherry tree. I’d been watching those little green fruits turn red for weeks. But when I got there, a whole squad of birds was already feasting. I couldn’t even be mad—they looked so happy! Still, I wanted some cherries for myself. So, I grabbed some shiny ribbons and tied them to the branches. The birds got spooked and flew off, and my cherries were safe (for now). Turns out, birds hate flashy stuff in their space. Now, every time I see those ribbons fluttering, I remember to share a few cherries but keep most for myself.
