why did my squash and cucumber babies look so sad this week?

I was super excited to see my squash and cucumber seedlings pop up, but then their leaves started drooping and turning a weird yellow. Total panic mode. I remembered last year when I watered them every day, and they didn’t make it. So this time, I checked the soil and realized it was way too soggy. I cut back on watering and let the top inch dry out before giving them more. Within days, the leaves perked up and looked way happier. I also moved them closer to the window for more sunlight.
